Religious Education (CCD)

Religious Education classes for the 2019-2020 school year are forming now!
Registration Forms with a Class Schedule can be found in the vestibule of the church or downloaded by clicking the following link: 2019-2020 Registration Form & Calendar.  Completed forms can be dropped into the collection basket or returned to the parish office at St. Ann of the Dunes Catholic Church.
Religious Education classes for school age children, grades 1-8 meet in the church Sunday mornings between 8:45 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.
St. Ann’s Religious Education Program for children and youth supports parents in their role as the first and most effective teachers of their children. Our focus is on forming faith, not just teaching religion and it encompasses Sacramental Preparation and Faith Formation for children and youth.
All classes will be taught by a group of very dedicated and faith-filled volunteer catechists.

If you are interested in assisting with the Religious Education program as a teacher, teachers aid, or even as a substitute instructor, please express your interest to Cindy Hargarten, Religious Education Director.

Diocesan policy mandates that all staff and volunteers who have substantial contact with children must pass a criminal background check and attend a VIRTUS training session within 60 days of classes starting.

Please call the location of the training session to verify the date and time and to register. Each participant needs a workbook to participate.

The latest dates are always available on the Diocesan Website. We will be holding this training here in our parish in the very near future. Watch this space and the bulletin for more information as soon as a date has been scheduled.
