Peace and Social Justice

Mission and Purpose

The Peace and Social Justice Commission promotes an understanding that:

  1. social justice is an essential element of the Gospel that flows from the meaning of the Eucharist,
  2. the work of peace and social justice is the work of the whole parish, and
  3. actions of peace and social justice must take place locally, nationally and internationally.

At our parish, the Peace and Social Justice Commission actively supports local ministries, such as, Sojourner Truth House and the Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry.

Meetings are typically held on the 2nd Sunday of each month after the 10 AM mass, please refer to our Parish Calendar to confirm.
