13th Sunday of Ordinary Time

Dear parishioners and friends of St. Ann of the Dunes,
Please tune in to our Parish YouTube Channel this weekend beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th for our weekly broadcast mass.  You can follow this link for the 13th Sunday of Ordinary Time.  We’ll also post a link on our Parish FaceBook Page .
This week we’ve received many emails, calls and drop-ins with many questions about the status of the parish.
First, let us assure you that Fr. Jon and the Diocese intend for St. Ann’s to remain open.  While we may not be getting a full-time priest, plans are being made to reopen the parish possibly as early as the Feast of St. Ann, July 26th.  Once these plans further develop, specifics will be communicated to the parish community.
Second, our parish is not in debt.  However, since the beginning of the COVID-19 shut-down, we are over $35,000 behind in our weekly Budgeted Amount of $4,800.  We have been able, so far, to absorb this shortfall in weekly collections without tapping into our Diocesan Savings which is $76,637.23 as of May 31, 2020.
It is, however, critical that donations return to pre-COVID-19 contribution levels to ensure the long-term viability of the parish.  You can mail in your donations or give on-line thru links on our Parish Website under DONATE.    You are also welcome to drop donations off at the Rectory during Parish Office hours.
Also, while we have been very successful in selling off the remaining inventory of SCRIP gift cards, we are pleased to let you know that effective next week, you will again be able to order SCRIP cards.  Look for more specific information on this sometime next week.

Just as we have worshiped together as a parish community, let us come together to sustain ourselves under the spiritual leadership of Fr. Jon!

Yours in Christ…
